The city of Azov, Rostov Oblast, recently hosted the 9th All-Russian Festival of Military-Historical Clubs, dedicated to the siege of Azov by the Don Cossacks in 1641.

The festival is dedicated to the feat of the Don and Zaporozhian Cossacks, who defended the city of Azov against the onslaught of the Turkish sultan's 30,000-strong army.
